A Day at the Fun Farm
Today, Logan and I joined Grammies, Nana, Aunt Sis, and Emily at Eckert's in Millstadt. It was rather chilly this morning so bub got to show off his new hat for everyone. We all had a really great time and Logan was pretty wiped out by the time we were done. Out of all of the activities to participate in out there, the wagon rides were #1 for Logan. Here are some pics with captions from today's fun. I hope you all enjoy.

Boo at the Zoo
Friday night, we were invited by T, Brian and Maddy to join them at Boo at the Zoo. I had never been so I thought it would be fun. Since I am married to a Star Wars nerd, Logan is Chewbacca this year (but by mom's choice and dad just agreed). He was very anxious to get out of the car and did not want to lay still to get his costume on. Once he was all decked out in fur he joined Maddy in the wagon and off we went. I am not too sure what is so exciting in this pic but they were having fun in the parking lot. Once were we in the zoo, Logan let out a lot of "Ohhhs" at the bugs, spiders, pumpkins, and various other decorations. The ducks and the "wa wa" were a big hit too. After a couple of stops, we headed to the children's zoo so they could get out and look at all the kid friendly stuff. Bub wasn't too sure about the turtle they had out but he liked the guinea pigs and the birds in the cages.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Earlier this week I was informed that I was going to be a 3rd time aunt. My sister, Steph, is pregnant again. Steph and my mom kept joking that if she sold all of her baby stuff on a yard sale she would get pregnant, and well, it worked. Emily is so excited to be a big sister. Congratulations to Steph, Bob and Emily!!!

Untitled, for lack of a better description
I am not sure what it is about this picture that I LOVE. Maybe it is the exploration of the world around us, the learning of the senses, the innocence of a child, or the hormonal crazyness of the momma. Tears came to my eyes when I saw this picture and I just felt that I had to share it with all of you.

19 months!!!
Another month has gone by, quickly might I add, and our bub is growing up so fast. Yesterday, he turned 19 months old. To look at Logan, you really don't see much of a change. But watching him is a different story. He is playing more interactively with his toys and more personality is showing through (if that is possible). It is hard to explain but those of you with kids should know what I am saying. Not a day goes by that he doesn't surprise me in some way. More words are starting to come to the surface. I think that once that mouth lets loose, it is never going to stop. There is so much info trapped in that little brain that I am surprised it hasn't exploded yet. He is still running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I can see a difference when he is watching Noggin or Playhouse Disney. He pays more attention and his actions reflect that. Sometimes I catch him sitting on the couch completely engrossed in Blue's Clues or Imagination Movers. I don't quite understand but apparently Yo Gabba Gabba is pretty interesting too. Logan gave daddy his first offical scare. Wednesday he slipped on his blanket on the hardwood and hit his head on the wall. From what Andy said, the sound was horrifying. Bub was okay and walked away with a good sized goose-egg and a bruise to go with it. I must be honest and say that I am not looking forward to those daredevil years and the potential for cuts and broken bones. The scarry thing is is that some of those daredevil actions are already starting. Everyday is an adventure with this little guy but I wouldn't have it any other way. WE LOVE YOU BUB!!!
Pumpkin Pickin'
Today was our (so far) 2nd annual trip to Eckert's to pick pumpkins. Logan, mom and I met up with Teresa, Maddy, and Katie and also Stacy, Emelia, and Kim. This year was very different from last year. Logan, Emelia, and Maddy were much more involved in the process. There were so many to choose from and of course Logan tried to pick up all of the ones that were bigger than him. On a good note, he didn't try to eat them this year. It was a great time for all of us and a rather warm one as well.
Holding hands while walking through the fields...Priceless!!!
I can honestly say that Logan picked out his own pumpkin this year. As I was in another part of the patch searching for the perfect pumpkin, Logan and Grammies found it. He carried it all around waiting for the wagon and some more when we got back to the Garden Center. By the look on his face, that must be one heavy pumpkin.
It was much harder to keep them all in one spot today. I am pretty sure that if any of them sat still for too long, they would have fallen asleep. I think Emelia did the best at staying still the longest. Today was a great day and I think everyone had lots of fun. Now we just have to wait and see what 1 more year of growing and life will bring for the next time.

Out for Dinner
Wednesday night, Logan and I, Becky and Jack, and Laura and Aubrey met for dinner at Applebee's. I used to work with Becky and Laura at St. Elizabeth's. Jack is 9 days younger than Logan and Aubrey just turned 1 in September. It was nice to get together and talk about life, work and of course babies. Logan was hamming it up for the camera but was actually being a little stink that night. I will eventually get him to stop throwing his food if it is the last thing I do. I think we all had a good time, here are some of the many pics. My fav is the last one of Logan and Aubrey hugging, too cute.
