The Many Adventures of Yai
Pretend play is becoming very exciting for Yai. He has been on all kinds of adventures.
Besides the adventures shown above, Yai has also been to Schnucks, Best Buy, a birthday party, Walmart, any restaurant we go to, every car ride, and to the babysitters. He has also been read to, fed (food and water), dancing, hugged, kissed, layed on, has had things shown to him in stores, and thrown. Logan even takes him to bed every night along with the beloved blanket. Hang in there!!

20 months!!!
I can't believe that we are 4 months away from 2 years old! It seems like only yesterday that he was my baby. Now he is "Mr. Independent." He doesn't really want my help with anything unless it is too high for him to reach, too far under something to reach, requires reading skills, cooking, or when I need to kiss an ouchy. The only big difference I have seen in the last month is the talking. Not many new words are coming out but there are a few and there are a lot of run on sentences that make absolutely no sense. Once again, more interaction with his toys and the learning of cause and effect. I tried to bribe him and reason with him at meals and discovered that it does not work. Maybe he is too young for that or maybe he just knows what he wants and when he wants it. I am hoping for choice #1. I am not ready for that strong will to appear yet (although we can't blame the kid for coming by it honestly). Gross motor is still going crazy. He loves to run, jump, climb, etc. He also is very adamant on going down stairs at my mom's without any handrails and without holding hands. That makes us a little nervous since the stairs are concrete and so is everything around them that would break a fall.
Logan is growing up so fast and I just can't believe it. He is such a neat, fun, and entertaining little man. We can't imagine life without him, we love him so much. Happy 20 months bub, we love you!!
Sorry, I have been absolutely horrible at pics lately so unfortunately I don't have any good ones to post up with this.

A Night in the Emergency Room
Rather than going out to eat with Andy's family on Thursday night, we took a trip to Memorial ER. Earlier that day at lunch, Carolyn called and said that Logan had a fever and wanted to know how much Tylenol to give him. He was not feeling well, not eating well, and not really moving from the couch. After nap he still felt yucky. When I picked him up that afternoon, he was on the couch hugging his blanket and a Pooh Bear book. Bub did not look good. When we got home I took his temp and it was 101.00. I gave him more Tylenol and all he did was lay on my chest and did not move. I called the doctor to ask what I should do to help reduce the fever. When I told them that he had rapid shallow breathing and an elevated heart rate they suggested taking him to the ER to have his lungs checked and to get fluids if needed. When we got there is temp (rectally) was 103.6 which meant more medicine. To make a long story short, the chest xray was clear, they gave him a breathing treatment of Albuterol and Atrovent, and also some Prednisone. By the time we left (4.5 hours later) he was back to "normal." I left the hospital very unclear of what was really wrong with him. All I knew was the instructions for 3 different meds.
We went to see Dr. Pritchett today and he concluded that Logan has an Upper Respiratory Infection but is doing great. He discharged the antibiotic but said we should keep taking the steroid and the breathing treatments.
I must say that this momma was very scared/scarred (or however you spell it). When they told me to take him to the hospital I was instantly crying. I am SOOO glad that he is okay and I would love to never see him that way again and I would rather have the snuggling in a healthy way. I hear that the stomach flu is now going around and it better stay out of my house! I am not sure how much more I can handle.

Oops, I did it again
A Visit With Clifford!
While we were waiting in line to see Clifford, Logan was excited. Even when Clifford came out he kept turning my head and pointing to him. I am sure if I could understand what he says he would have been saying, "Hey mom, look, a big dog. Clifford." Since I can't understand his words yet, who knows what he was saying. I put him down so he could approach him on his own but that was not successful. He even let one of the workers pic him up and take him over to him. He was not excited by this BIG Clifford. I attempted to take a couple of pics and then we left. We checked out a couple of books and then headed to lunch with Aunt T and Maddy at Red Robin.
